Letters, 1842-1844.

A small collection of letters from Alexander H. Rice of Newton, Mass. to his fiancee, Augusta E. McKim of Boston, written while he was a student at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. (Class of 1844). The letters discuss their future plans, affection for one another, and Rice's activities at college. Rice was later a Mass. politician, including Governor from 1876-78.
